Youth Aliyah Child Rescue cocktail masterclass raises over £1,000 for at risk children in Israel.

Youth Aliyah Child Rescue supporters (and wannabe mixologists) gathered together via Zoom on Thursday 6th August to mix, shake and drink cocktails.

Steve the bartender taught the crowd – assembled in their own gardens and kitchens – how to make different versions of a mojito, a pornstar martini, and a Tom Collins. As well as drinking their way through the syllabus on the night, the participants are now ready to host fabulous socially distanced cocktail evenings of their own all summer long! Mint springs, strawberry garnishes and chilled glasses were on display at the end and these master students can now give London’s top bars (and maybe even Tom Cruise) a run for their money.

Every pound raised as part of the cocktail masterclass was generously matched by the Cohen Family Foundation and an anonymous donor. The event raised over £1,000 to help vulnerable and at risk children in Israel, many of whom do not have a stable family to support them through the pandemic.
