Israel at War

As the horrors of the war in Israel continue to unfold, Israel’s most vulnerable children need our support more than ever.

We are focusing our efforts on three main areas.

Almost all of our male graduates and many of the females have been called up to serve in the IDF. Whether in combat units, cyberdefence, or elite units, many of our graduates are serving without families in Israel. Unless you have been in the army, it might be hard to comprehend the importance of clean socks, nutritious snacks and the knowledge that someone is waiting to hear your voice. Our Youth Village staff are providing all of this and more. Our financial support will ensure that they have the resources they need to do so.

The children living at Talpiot Youth Village have been removed from their homes by the Welfare Ministry, having already endured unimaginable family lives. At Talpiot, they experience stable, loving homes for the first time with their foster parents. With more than half of the staff called to reserve duty, and with school cancelled indefinitely, the remaining staff desperately need help keeping the already traumatised children occupied. We will help by purchasing games and art supplies and by paying for people to come and organise activities for the children.

We will also ensure that all of our children have access to ongoing emotional support, especially those who have recently fled the war zones in Ukraine.
