On the evening of Thursday 9th July, Youth Aliyah Child Rescue hosted a Virtual Whisky Tasting event live on Zoom. With the number of attendees reaching four times the anticipated amount of participants, the evening was full of cheer, good humour and insight into the art of whisky appreciation.
Youth Aliyah Child Rescue Trustee and event organiser, Anton Curtis commented:
“With many connoisseurs referring to whisky as the ‘water of life’, it makes perfect sense that Youth Aliyah Child Rescue – a charity dedicated to enabling some of Israel’s most at risk young people to live their best lives – should have hosted this very special online whisky tasting experience. From whisky beginners to the more accomplished drinkers in the virtual room, all the participants laughed and learnt a lot, at the same time as helping to support the provision of vital services for vulnerable young people.”
Luckily for those who appreciate a good whisky, the only thing virtual about this event was the masterclass provided online, by an industry expert. In advance of the event, a diverse selection of five exceptional whiskies were hand-delivered to participants in a gift box, complete with delicious chocolates and Youth Aliyah Child Rescue notebook and pen.
