Hundreds of women live in fear for their lives every day and often feel there is no escape from their abusive situations.
This has been the motivation behind a new app called ‘WeAct’ which has been developed to help Israeli women who are victims of domestic abuse.
The app is the brainchild of an inspiring team of 16-year-old female students from Aloney Yitzchak youth village who have entered their app into an international competition for the best use of technology to solve a social problem.
We are incredibly proud of these young women whose goal is to help prevent future violence and save lives. Moreover, the app has made it to the semi-final stage of the contest – the only team from Israel to make it this far.
We’ll keep you informed of their progress but invite you to now watch this short video about the project!
